The Committee of “Visit Korea Year” are hosting the “2011 K-Pop Cover Dance Festival”, which aims to bring K-pop fans from all around the world to show off their dance moves from their favorite Korean tracks.

The second round for this event is underway. The first stop for the second round was held in Moscow, Russia on September 6th and for the Moscow stop, the boys of SHINee personally appeared to judge the dancers. MBC will air the contest through an eight-part special show titled, “K-Pop Cover Dance Festival Road Show 40120″

On September 05th, MBLAQ‘s members departed from Incheon Airport in Korea to assist with their duties in Brazil as judges for the KPOP Cover Dance Festival to be held on September 07th.

They arrived today (September 6th) at the Brazilian airport in Sao Paulo among hundreds of fans and dancing samba girls who have been waiting for their arrival. After checking out of the airport, the MBLAQ members signed some autographs for their fans and took some quick pictures with them. They received roses as a warm welcome gift and also each one of them was kissed on their cheeks by one of the dancing girls, leaving them a really noticeable red lipstick mark on their cheeks. They had a really warm welcome from their Brazilian fans.

On September 6, Avex Entertainment released the first promotional video (PV) teaser for DBSK‘s title song “B.U.T (BE-AU-TY)” in their upcoming 5th Japanese album “TONE” on their YouTube channel. To the excitement of Japanese fans, DBSK performed their new title song at the SM TOWN concert in Japan last weekend.

The promotional video reveals Yunho and Changmin dancing in a closed-area scenario. Once again, they show their synchronized dancing skills which was choreographed by Marty Kudelka (who is the choreographer for American artists such as Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake) and assisted by Gregory Hwang and Mihawk K. Back.

[News] U-KISS’s Eli to miss initial comeback promotions after injuring his knee

It’s just been reported that Eli sustained a knee injury during rehearsals, and must therefore miss initial comeback activities with the rest of his U-KISS members.

According to U-KISS’s agency, NH Media, the boys were preparing for their first comeback stage when Eli tore a knee muscle during rehearsal.

On September 3rd, SS501‘s leader Kim Hyun Joong made a special visit to fellow member Kim Kyu Jong‘s rehearsal room for his musical, ‘Goong‘.

Goong’s production company tweeted, “Last night, Hyun Joong-ssi stopped by the rehearsal room for Kyu-Taeja and the ‘Goong’ team. Thank you for the drinks.”

Dressed from head-to-toe in black, Kim Hyun Joong is seen posing comfortably next to Kim Kyu Jong. Despite the poor lighting, their handsome looks still managed to make the photo shine.

Netizens commented, “So handsome”, “I love seeing them together”, “Fighting on the musical!”, and “So much eye candy.”

On September 1st, ELFs around the world bid farewell to Super Junior‘s Kim Heechul as he stepped into a four-week training program to kick off his two-year military service.

Recently, pictures of Heechul in his army uniform surfaced online, causing fans to sigh with relief over Heechul’s smooth adjustment. The first picture shows the idol holding up his right hand as he pledges his military oath, while the second picture shows him confidently holding onto a gun, completely focused on his senior’s orders.

Super Junior‘s Heechul will finally be entering the military to fulfill his 2 year mandatory services to his country on September 1st. He is the 2nd Super Junior member following Kangin, who is set to return next year, to enter the military. After the news was reported, many fans expressed their sadness as well as farewells to Heechul.

It was revealed by SM Entertainment that “they [Heechul and Leeteuk] wanted to enlist quietly without any commotion.”

Late on Wednesday, August 31st, Heechul tweeted a photo of himself with his new buzz cut ahead of entering the military and said that he reminded himself of the female singer Choonja, who is known for her shaved head.
